Floating in Conflict
Am I here or gone somewhere else
Death a failed heartbeat away
Maybe betrayal onto me or a person from me
Now I must be punished
Swords strategically placed
Heart, head, lungs
All vital places
Blanket for security or blanket of blood
Background is unknown
Appearing as a battle between good and the light
Or bad and the dark
Unsure who won this battle
Loneliness, sadness, and sorrow scream
The blue and yellow are curious
The dismal colors are broken by hope
Image gloomy and scary
Swords, blood, and darkness
Blood pour is abundant
The swords are lethal and significant
The placement and depth
The body although mounted to the ground is floating in conflict from these swords
Whether self-inflicted or attack from behind on some matter or matters
Yellow gives light to the image no matter the significance and darkness
There is hope to follow
Swords as thought
Thoughts that we inflict on ourselves
Thoughts that keep us down.
I know those thoughts well.
They sneak up from behind.
I have to face my thoughts
that keep me down.
Thank you for reminder Jennifer. I was just journaling on this today.
I used this very card to write a flash fiction piece now published on Mercurial stories.com
